Volunteering: How My Passion Gives Back
Volunteering has always been my passion, and it has given me immense satisfaction in life. After getting a scholarship to study in Japan and gaining 11 years of experience in the Japanese language, I had the privilege to work in different countries such as the USA, Vietnam, Japan, and Singapore. This gave me unique insights and skills that I wanted to share with my home country, Bangladesh.
On weekends, I spend my time advising and guiding young people on how to pursue their dreams and goals, especially when it comes to studying abroad. I find joy in giving back to my community and country that has helped me become who I am today.
Volunteering has not only helped others, but it has also helped me discover my passions, personal growth, and build connections with others. It has given me a sense of purpose and fulfillment that I couldn’t get from anything else.
Although I don’t expect anything in return, seeing the positive impact I have made on the lives of others is the most rewarding feeling in the world. The youth who benefitted from my advice may not have contacted me or given thanks, but I don’t need that. The act of giving back is my reward.
Volunteering has taught me that it’s not just about giving back to the community; it’s about discovering oneself, making connections, and creating a positive impact on people’s lives. It has given me an opportunity to share my skills, knowledge, and expertise to make a difference in the world.
In conclusion, volunteering has become an essential part of my life, and I urge everyone to try it at least once. It may surprise you how much joy and fulfillment you can gain from giving back to the community. Volunteering is not just about the selfless act of helping others, but it’s also about personal growth and self-discovery. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to my community, and I hope that you, too, can find your passion in volunteering.
